Black Ops 4 servers LIVE: Call of Duty available on PS4 and Xbox early | Gaming | Entertainment

According to the latest reports from fans, Call of Duty Black Ops 4 servers are live.

This includes players on PS4 and Xbox One, with PC servers expected to follow soon.

It appears Activision turned on the servers early to prepare for the influx of new players tomorrow.

The release date for the game is set for October 12, so only those players with early copies have managed to go online tonight.

Even before its official release date, Call of Duty Black Ops 4 has become the third most watched game on Twitch.

Over 100,000 viewers have tuned into Black Ops 4 streams, those that are both celebrational and early access.

And you can expect that number to skyrocket when the game is officially out for everybody.

From what has been shared so far, all of Black Ops 4’s modes are available to play right now if you have an early copy.

In the UK, the retailer GAME is known to be hosting an early evening sale of Black Ops 4 from 6-9pm.

This is to help with the large download size of the disc version, which also comes with a meaty day one patch.

This patch must be downloaded and adds another 50GB to the size of the game.

According to the early release details confirmed by Treyarch, Call of Duty Black Ops 4 servers on PC aren’t supposed to go live until 5am in the UK.

However, streans are showing players getting access right now, ahead of the official release date. While most gamers will have to wait a little longer for release, we already know the complete specs sheet for the game.

“As we are all gearing up for the rapidly approaching October 12th launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 we’re happy to reveal not only minimum and recommended PC specs, but also the configurations that will deliver the highest refresh rates for competitive gamers, and the Ultra specs for PC purists pushing for the best performance levels,” a message from the Treyarch dev team explains.
