Strictly Come Dancing 2018 Danny John Jules opens up on winning the BBC competition | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV
Strictly Come Dancing fever is heating up and it seems the competition is already getting intense.
Danny John-Jules spoke about his chances on the BBC talent show and it seems there has been an ultimatum placed on him by his town.
The Red Dwarf star chatted to Ben Shephard and Charlotte Hawkins about his chances on Strictly.
He laughed: “It all starts next week and I’ve been told in my manor not to return if I embarrass them.
“I won’t be able to go to the barber shop.
“Watching them impersonate me is funny.”
He went on to explain how training is going, explaining his 57-year-old body is feeling the effects.
Danny revealed: “I’m the oldest person in the show!
“As you can imagine, being the oldest one in the show, my legs are lie lead.”
Danny was paired up with Amy Dowden last week on the Strictly Come Dancing launch.
After the announcement, Danny was beaming from ear-to-ear.
He said: “Amy put me through my paces when I first came to meet you guys!”
Danny later tweeted: “I am now, officially an Honorary Welshman! I will only answer to the name, Barry John, for the course of my #Strictly journey.
“I can’t wait for @dowden_amy to put some of that #WelshFire into our dances.”
With rehearsals and training well underway, it seems Joe Sugg suffered from a major mishap.
In a video uploaded to Strictly Come Dancing’s Instagram, Joe and new partner Dianne Buswell suffered from a blunder.
The pair were dancing the Jive until the professional’s fiery red locks became entangled in Joe’s microphone.
Dianne giggled: We had a little bit of a problem with my hair getting caught in Joe’s microphone.”
Joe struggled to untangle it, but thankfully they managed to worm their way out of the hilarious situation.
Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday 22 on BBC One and Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV from 6am.
