Love Island 2018: Megan Barton Hanson’s true colours UNVEILED | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV
Megan Barton Hanson has made a name for herself in the Love Island villa as the kind, poliet and somewhat reserved new girl.
However, her foul comments about fellow contestant Georgia Steel proved there is a different side to the 24-year-old.
In the latest installment of the ITV2 reality show, Megan and current on-show partner Eyal Booker discussed which couple they thought were least compatible.
During their deliberation, 22-year-old model Eyal asked Megan who she thought should be put up for elimination.
“Georgia, I just think she’s too over the top with everything; if you’re here to find love just chill out and spend time with the person you’re with,” she replied.
“Don’t be like jazz handing, do you know what I mean? Just calm down, but that’s not the question is it.”
Eyal retorted: “Who’s compatible within their couples?”
Megan blurted out: “It’s not the question just because I think she is a fake b***h.”
The glamour model’s vicious comments riled fans of the show, who could not believe she had such nasty things to say about the young islander.
Taking to Twitter, one viewer fumed: “Megan calling Georgia a fake b***h is the literal definition of hypocrisy.”
Another asked: “Why did Megan call Georgia a fake b***h? Ain’t you fake for saying that behind her back. I didn’t even know there was beef between the two?”
A third: “Megan your being the fake b*h, talking st behind Georgia’s back.”
Someone else wrote: “I thought Megan was a nice girl until she called Georgia a fake b***h.”
Another questioned: “What the hell? Megan thinks Georgia is a fake b***h, where did that come from?”
Also in last night’s show, Laura Anderson, 29, freaked out after Wes Nelson, 20, revealed he is falling for her just a week after meeting each other.
Discussing his words with the girls, Laura said: “He said to me, ‘I think I’m falling for you’ and I was just like, ‘Don’t say that to me’.
“Don’t sit there and say, ‘You’re falling for me.’ You’re not falling for me – it’s been a week! I don’t like it. He doesn’t even know what love is! He’s never been in love before.”
Later in the Beach Hut, she confessed: “It’s very nice to hear, but I’m just very aware of people saying things that they don’t mean or it’s very early to be saying something like that.
“I know he didn’t say ‘love’, but for me it was similar. Maybe a miscommunication, but I really just want to be on the same page. I don’t want him being like, ‘Oh my god, I’m falling in love with Laura’.”
Love Island continues tonight on ITV2 at 9pm.
